Institution
The Stefan
University is a research and graduate-studies private university
with the headquarters in La
Jolla, California, USA.
Stefan is an independent
non-profit university. S-U is essentially an online higher
education institution.
History
The
establishment of the Stefan
University was initiated in 1987; it was formally founded on November 3,1989 by V.
Alexander Stefan under the auspices of the Stefan
University Founding Academic Board (see in what follows).
V.
Alexander Stefan is a
research physicist
( V.
S.-Physics); an educator (V.
S.-Educator; The
Open World University); The
Open World Manifesto-Novus Ordo
Scientifico-Technologicus.QUALB Coeptis); a writer
(V.

Hey
America, What Do I Mean to You? ;
a fine art painter (Works
on Albert Einstein--Paintings, Writings, Movies),
and a film producer (V.S.-Filmmaker).
Campus
Stefan is
essentially a non-campus institution of higher education. It
is envisioned as a new type of higher education worldwide
based on electronic technology. A
division on education technologies has been established within
the Stefan with the goal to promote the development of
electronic information technology in higher education.
Graduate
Schools
Graduate
schools of physics, interdisciplinary physics [thermonuclear
fusion physics and environmental physics], and
cross-disciplinary physics [neurophysics, stem cell physics,
genomic medical physics, and physics of the brain].
